Some specs for the unreleased Apple phone:-
$599 for 4GB
$649 for 8GB

True cost of the iPhone - CenterNetworks does the math!

Ever wonder what the iPhone will really cost? I decided to pull my accounting suit out of the closet (man it was dusty) and give it a shot. $599 for the device is just only the beginning. I still don't believe the average American can afford this device, no matter how great the majority of bloggers believe it is. You have to factor in things like a phone plan, data plan, text messaging plan, etc. So let's take a look at the math.

$640 Phone - $599 plus tax (~8%)
$60/mo Voice Plan - cheapest plan with unlimited nights and weekends
$40/mo MEdia Max 3000 Bundle - includes 3000 texts and unlimited MediaNet which I assume will work as the browse function on the iPhone
$8/mo Fees - lovely fees So doing the math, and looking at a year of usage on this device, the total comes to: $1,936

So what does that equate to in other items?
387 Starbucks grande drinks
2,129 McDonalds hamburgers
968 rides on the NYC Subway
A round-trip ticket to Japan from the USA
A new LCD 42" tv with enough money left over to buy all 5 seasons of 24 on DVD
A Mac Powerbook
20% of a monthly ad on TechCrunch

Nokia Aeon Concept Phone

New Nokia Aeon Concept Phone with Touchscreen

Nokia recently gave a glimpse of Nokia Aeon Concept Phone in the R&D section of the company’s website.
The new Nokia Aeon concept phone is developed by Nokia’s research and development team and is one of the most futuristic mobile phones seen so far.

The most outstanding design feature of Nokia Aeon is the touchscreen that stretches over the full surface area of the phone. The touchscreen feature is similar to BenQ-Siemens’s Black box concept phone.
Nokia Aeon phone is seen in black, green and blue colors.
The device, exactly like the BenQ concept phone, has a full touchscreen surface with, I hope, a dynamic application menu that changes according with the current feature displayed on the screen. Other details aren't possible to guess from the three pictures released by the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer on its website, but, the images taken at the testing site suggest that we might have the occasion, in our lifetime, to have this kind of Sci-Fi gadgets in our hands.

There is no word on when Nokia Aeon concept phone will be officially released to the public.

Sony Ericsson CyberShot

Sony Ericsson CyberShot concept phone

This is the new Sony Ericsson CyberShot concept phone duo’s creative output.
A sleek phone with overtones of LG chocolate has a 3.2 mega pixel camera but I will still have to see it to believe that in such a slim phone they can put in a camera. The keys are OLED touch sensitive. And the slider keypad also looks good but I will hate Sony Ericsson if this phone doesn’t go in for the mass production.
As the designers phones are rage at this moment with LG shipping close to 6 million of its chocolate designer phones. Let’s wait and watch.

The phone will be out in mid Feb 2007, it comes with 2 GB Hard disk, 3.2Mega pixel Camera, Walkmanit also has radio in it

Haier Black Pearl

The Smallest Cellphone We've Ever Used

The Haier Black Pearl is honestly the smallest phone we've ever seen. It's hard to get a sense of how small it is from the picture, but you can see that it's about the length and width of two of my fingers, and around the thickness of one of my fingers on end. And I don't have large hands. To recap: the BP is an unlocked GSM phone with MP3 playback, FM radio and Bluetooth compatibility. It's shiny—shinier than an iPod—and very very round.
